Journey to Beijing

I have always wanted to visit the beautiful city of Beijing. This summer, my wish finally came true. My parents and I took a train to Beijing, which took us three days to get there. Upon arrival, we stayed in a hotel and enjoyed delicious meals.

The next day, we visited the Forbidden City, which is a vast palace complex with a history of over 600 years. The intricate carvings and the vast halls left us in awe. Although we wanted to take photos, we had to refrain as photography was not allowed inside.

Afterward, we indulged in the local cuisine, including the famous Beijing roast duck. The duck was crispy and tender, and it was a truly memorable meal.

On our third day, we climbed the Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The view from the top was breathtaking, and we spent five hours exploring the ancient bricks and the vast landscape. We even saw some foreigners and had a pleasant conversation with them in English.

Beijing is not only the capital city of China but also a city with a rich history and culture. The Great Wall, the Summer Palace, and Tiananmen Square are just a few of the many attractions that make Beijing a must-visit destination. I hope to return to Beijing one day to explore more of its hidden treasures.
